Reducing Carbon Emissions in Supply Chain and Logistics

Leading Transformartion

According to the World Economic Forum 2024, the manufacturing industry accounts for nearly 30% of the world’s total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.  Within it, 73 - 90% of a manufacturing company’s total emissions are in the value chain (Scope 3).  Within this, 5 – 10% of it goes to logistics, ie, trucking, shipping, aviation.  Companies looking to reduce their GHG emission should look at how they can do so with their supply chain and logistics.
But where and how to reduce their GHG emissions?  COSIRI (Consumer Sustainability Industry Readiness Index) is the answer.  It is an assessment platform that assesses the sustainability maturity of a company’s operations, supply chain, logistics, which includes warehousing and intralogistics, product design, circularity, adoption of clean technology, and many others.  The results are then benchmarked against the best in the industry, and a 2-year transformation roadmap is developed along with milestones and targets to help the company reach Net-Zero.
