Key Features of the Dematic System at Blue Hub:
- Dematic Multishuttle System: This automated storage and retrieval system securely stores over 35,000 totes of products in high-density racks. Robotic shuttles transport totes to and from storage locations, optimising space utilisation and reducing the facility's footprint.
- Goods-to-Person (GTP) Workstations: Seven ergonomically designed “RapidPick” stations enable operators to fulfil orders efficiently without moving from their positions. The system delivers items directly to the pickers in a precise sequence, significantly increasing picking speeds and productivity while vastly minimising errors.
- Intelligent Conveyor System: Energy-efficient Spiralveyors, among the tallest installed globally at over 40 metres high, link the central order picking area with client-specific operational zones across multiple floors. This design ensures seamless and rapid movement of goods throughout the facility.
- Automated Packing and Labelling: The system automates carton assembly, lidding, and labelling processes. Automated carton erectors create shipping cartons, labels are applied at induction, and cartons are sealed with tamper-proof lids. This automation allows orders to be picked, packed, and ready for dispatch in as little as 20 minutes.
- Integrated Warehouse Control System: Dematic software integrates all automated equipment, providing real-time visibility of orders, schedules, and inventory status on a single platform. This data-driven approach streamlines processes and optimises performance.
